GIF: (For Marketing)

Is a sequence of images that continuously play in a loop, forming an animated image. While GIFs have been present for many years already, in recent years they have earned popularity not just to share jokes between friends, but it has also become a great marketing technique to promote a business, products, or services and pretty much anyone can create one, for free. (Rampton, 2016)

GIFs are a good means to transmit messages, generate emotions, and consequently, a connection with customers, as they required little time of attention, can be better interpreted than plain text or jpegs. GIFs can also contain text, which brings another benefit for marketers, of improving businesses’ SEO efforts by integrating keywords into the GIF’s text. (Heinzman, 2019)

Storytelling: (For marketing)

It is expressing a message via the narrative of a story, that can be composed of audio, video, images, and/or text.

Attracting people’s attention and competing with other brands is becoming tougher and tougher in today’s fast-growing world. Storytelling has become a vital marketing component, through storytelling marketers can not only promote a service or product but create an emotional and memorable experience, closer link customers to businesses and have a bigger impact on their minds therefore in their decision making, however, unlike paid media these results are not obtained immediately, is a process that can take time just like building tight relationships though can be of great benefit in the long term, i.e: forge Customer’s loyalty. (Pelsmaeker, n.d.)
